An 18-year-old English woman suffered a seizure on the plane and the plane, en route from Paphos to London, made an emergency landing at Macedonia Airport in Thessaloniki.
The incident happened as reported edition thestival.gr, Saturday at 14:05. Having dropped off the passenger, the Easyjet Airbus A320 aircraft continued its flight along the route. The girl and her parents were taken to Papanicolaou Hospital by ambulance. According to the publication, she is already feeling well.
Emergency landings of aircraft are not uncommon. For example, in June of this year, problems during a plane flight from the UK to Turkey forced the pilot land at Macedonia Airport in Thessaloniki. During the flight, two Russians on board the plane showed aggressive behavior towards the flight attendants, causing outrage. During a search of the place where the troublemakers were located, empty bottles of alcoholic beverages were found.
Just a month later, a Ryanair plane made an emergency landing at Corfu airport. He was heading to Milan when the pilot reported engine failure just after takeoff at 19:00 from Corfu airport, possibly due to a bird strike. And a week later, a plane of the Greek airline Aegean Airlines made an emergency landing at Naples airport in Italy after signs of decompression appeared in the cabin. The plane was flying from Thessaloniki (Greece) to Barcelona (Spain) with 156 passengers on board and 6 crew members. The company said the passengers disembarked safely and it had already dispatched another aircraft to continue their journey.
