Greek police arrested five people at a migrant prison camp on the island of Samos on the evening of October 18, after a large group of migrants and refugees gathered outside the camp to protest an attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip that killed more than 500 people. .

About 700 people, mostly Palestinians and Syrians, protested inside the camp. At one point, several people from different branches moved towards the gate, shouting slogans in favor of Palestine and against Israel, media reported.

A police drone was used to coordinate the operation to return protesters to their homes. Initially, seven protesters were detained; for five of them, the detentions ended in arrests.

Police said those arrested threw stones at police and incited other foreigners to participate in the attacks. They are charged with inciting violence, disturbing the peace and violence against employees.
