Israeli tourists refuse to leave Greece


Riots occurred at Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis Airport on Saturday, October 7 – tourists from Israel en masse refused to leave Greece due to events in their homeland.

Israelis left the airport en masse, refusing to fly to Tel Aviv. On the morning flights, out of 340 people who were supposed to fly to Israel, 60 refused to fly, writes Cretapost.gr.

The president of the travel agency of Crete, Michalis Vlatakis, said that in this way “they lose the ticket they already have for the return trip and rebook hotel rooms in Heraklion.”

However, flights are proceeding as normal. There are approximately 9 flights daily from Heraklion Airport to Israel.
