They blew up the ATM, but to no avail. The criminals took… 150 euros, which were stolen from a nearby store

The criminals who blew up an ATM located in a bakery in the town of Loutra Orea Eleni (Corinth) early on Friday, September 22, are still wanted.

According to the police and the ERT channel, at about 03:30 in the morning, three unknown people with their faces covered with masks drove up to the bakery in a car and blew up an ATM. After they failed to get money from the ATM, they broke down the door of the store (bakery) and found 150 euros in the cash register. Immediately after that, they got into the car and disappeared in an unknown direction. Both the bakery and the ATM were seriously damaged.

As the Athens News previously wrote, the standard method of blowing up plofkraak ATMs using liquefied gas is so simple and described in such detail in numerous videos posted on the Internet that probably only the lazy have not thought about getting rich in this way. However, some people apparently like the process itself, the loud sound of the explosion and the bills scattered along the street…

The police are conducting an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.
