Massive drone attacks in Russia and Kyiv, planes were burning in Pskov


On the night of Wednesday, August 30, drones attacked 6 regions of the Russian Federation. The Pskov airport was attacked. As a result of the strike on the capital of Ukraine, two people were killed.

In response to a massive drone attack on Russian territory, Russian air defense systems shot down drones over the Ryazan, Bryansk, Kaluga, Oryol and Moscow regions, media reported. The Pskov airport was attacked, a fire broke out as a result of a drone crash, and several Il-76 military transport aircraft were damaged.

The governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, announced the cancellation of all flights on August 30, “until the nature of the possible damage to the runway is clarified”:

“According to preliminary estimates, nothing serious, but it is difficult to verify this at night. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The scale of the destruction is being specified. I will give more detailed information after the completion of the operational headquarters, which I will conduct personally.”

According to TASS, “four Il-76 aircraft were damaged in Pskov at a military airfield after a drone attack.”

As a result of a night massive air attack on Kyiv, two people were killed, one was injured. According to the capital’s military administration, in total, more than 20 targets over the capital – drones and missiles – were destroyed by air defense forces and means.

“The forces and means of air defense of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 43 air targets within the Kiev, Cherkasy, Odessa and Nikolaev regions: 28 Kh-101 / Kh-555 / Kh-55 cruise missiles fired from 11 strategic aircraft aircraft Tu-95ms from the Caspian Sea and the Engels region, and 15 strike UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type from the southern and northern directions (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk).

As a result of the fall of rocket elements, destruction and fires occurred in the Shevchenkovsky and Darnitsky districts. The authorities said that “Kyiv has not felt such a powerful attack since the spring.” Explosions were reported in Odessa, Cherkasy and Kirovograd regions.
