Italian entrepreneur Giacomo Chiapparini found himself under 25,000 heads of cheese that collapsed on top of him along with racks. The businessman has died.
The tragic incident took place in the province of Bergamo, in the warehouse of a cheese factory, L’Eco di Bergamo reported. The 75-year-old owner of a cheese company went missing the night before, and the search continued all night.
The collapse occurred on an area of 2 thousand square meters and had a domino effect. Presumably, Chiapparini, at the time of the collapse of the racks, was working on setting up an apparatus that rotates the forms of cheese for its maturation.
The enterprise owned by the deceased has a production capacity of 10 hectares, and the size of agricultural land exceeds 100 hectares. The company annually produces over 15,000 heads of Grana Padano, a hard, semi-fat cheese similar to Parmesan. writes BB.LV.
