The results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology showed that 2/3 of Ukrainians have dead or wounded during a full-scale war among relatives, friends, relatives.
The survey was conducted from May 26 to June 5 and showed that, on average, respondents have seven close relatives or friends who were injured or died. 63% of Ukrainians have lost friends or relatives: the highest rate of deaths in the west of the country is 69%. In the center of Ukraine this figure, writes edition “Strana”, is 65%, in the south – 58%, to the east – 52%.
According to the latest UN data on civilian casualties of the war in Ukraine, since February 24, 2022, 9,083 people have died in Ukraine, and 15,790 have been injured. Most of the civilians, according to the organization, suffered from explosive weapons with a wide radius of destruction.
At the UN emphasizethat the real numbers could be much higher, as information about the dead and wounded is delayed from several regions where there was intense fighting. During the first 18 days of June, 112 civilians died in Ukraine – an average of more than 6 per day.
