Ukrainian sources informt that on the evening of June 27, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the center of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. The missile hit a restaurant where there were a lot of people. The Interior Ministry reported the death of at least 10 people, including three children. Another 61 people were injured.

Russian sources claim that foreign mercenaries were located in the restaurant. Ukraine, in turn, points out that it was a civilian object.

Ukrainian agency UNIAN reported: “The counterintelligence service of the Security Service of Ukraine “in hot pursuit” detained an agent of the special services of the Russian Federation. The suspect corrected the Russian missile attack on a cafe in the center of Kramatorsk on June 27. The security service established that the detained spotter of the strike on Kramatorsk was a “reactivated” agent of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (better known as the GRU). In particular, on June 27, he was given the task to find out if the aforementioned cafe was open and to record the presence of visitors there. At the same time, in order to fulfill the enemy instructions, the GRU agent carried out covert video filming of the establishment and cars parked nearby. After that, the defendant sent the captured file to Russian military intelligence. In turn, the Russian invaders, having received this information, fired at a cafe in which there were people.”

Earlier, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia is actually at war with NATO. Moscow has suspicions that the people sent to Ukraine are more than ordinary mercenaries. According to Sergey Lavrov, some countries send professional military personnel to Ukraine under the guise of ordinary mercenaries. As the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, there are now “a huge number” of foreign military specialists in the NMD zone. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, up to 2.5 thousand mercenaries from Western countries can fight on the side of Kyiv.

At the same time, concerns are growing over a nuclear conflict in Eastern Europe. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said he had asked the US to begin stationing nuclear weapons on Polish soil as a countermeasure against Russia’s corresponding deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
