Facts Released Regarding Investigation of Numerous Burglary Cases Committed in Larisa When Two Cousins Arrested from Albania aged 29 and 14, because it turned out to be… a family “business”, with a total of 20 thefts.
It should be noted that the loot they stole was found in the barn of the minor’s father. The two cousins were arrested late Sunday evening by police as they tried to break into the balcony door of a house in the Pirovolikon area of the city of Larisa. After resisting, they pushed the police forcefully away and tried to escape, but were caught and detained.
Initially, it turned out that they had committed two more thefts in the apartments on the second floor, on the balconies of which they climbed and broke the balcony doors. From one apartment they took 1,800 euros and various jewels and jewelry, and from another they took $17 and 55 euros, as well as two packs of men’s perfume.
An investigation by security officials revealed that the 29-year-old perpetrator has been active since September 18, 2021! Since then, he has committed, at rare intervals, 16 thefts and one attempt, mostly climbing onto the balconies of apartments, from where he stole money and jewelry worth more than 112,000 euros.
Moreover, in the house where the 52-year-old uncle and father of the teenager lived, a bicycle was found that was used in his illegal activities. There were also found several gold sovereigns, chains, earrings, watches and other valuables obtained as a result of robberies, most of which were confiscated and returned to their owners.
In addition, the police security service formed a case for obtaining the products of a crime against a 52-year-old man who had already been arrested along with his wife for neglecting to supervise their minor son, and against two young people a case was formed for theft and attempted murder, resistance and disobedience to police officers.
The detainees were brought to the prosecutor of the Larisa plenary court.
