More and more international publications are highlighting Samos as the ideal destination for a quality holiday in 2023. The well-known American travel website Traveling Lifestyle lists Samos and especially the charming Kokkari as one of the “hidden gems” of Greece.
The publication is echoed by the popular German website Infranke.de, which puts Samos at the top of its list with the heading “five secret tips” for enjoying your trip to Greece.
According to the praises sung by the international media of Samos, “Greece is a country with many impressive archaeological and historical masterpieces. Pythagorio is a typical example. The island inspires with its lush vegetation and creates a breathtaking atmosphere with paradise coastlines, enchanting mountain scenery, olive groves and vineyards. Samos perfectly combines culture with natural wealth.”
Samos Island ranks 2nd among the 25 best Greek islands in the new ranking published by British Glamour.. The magazine describes “the variety of experiences one can have in Samos, from quiet beaches to mountains with breathtaking views, intense nightlife in Vathi, wine tasting and unique cave experiences such as the cave of Pythagoras.”
At the same time, the British Observer newspaper included Samos among the 13 quality islands of Greece. In particular, an international publication calls Samos a “wonderland”, full of green pine forests, beautiful beaches and wine flowing like a river.
Heraion deserves special mention, recognized together with the Pythagorion by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
“The reaction of the international media to the call of professionals and the municipality to explore the various aspects of this destination confirms the impressive prospects of eastern Samos on the international tourist map. After all, the actions we are implementing are moving in this direction,” said Despina Kaili, Deputy Mayor for Tourism of the Municipality of Eastern Samos.
It is noted that in the previous period, at the initiative of the municipality of eastern Samos, targeted contacts were made with journalists and travel agents at international tourism exhibitions.
