Very impressive are the photographs taken on the island of Alonissos during the wedding ceremonies organized by the municipality.
“We invite everyone to visit Alonissos and spend unforgettable moments here that bring you closer to nature,” says the Mayor of Alonissos, Petros Vafinis. – To encourage young couples to exchange vows of eternal love on the seabedwe have agreed to with diving centers on the island about providing newlyweds with free diving equipment, as well as the necessary training courses. An underwater wedding is a unique experience at a minimal cost. The reaction of the couples is indescribable! Which justifies our efforts to create a new “wedding market”.
It is noted that the first underwater wedding took place in August last year, paving the way for a new commercial service for which there is already demand. Having learned about the proposal, some couples have already decided to plan a wedding on the exotic island of Sporades this summer.
