The beaches of Attica were crowded despite the inclement weather

Since Sunday, June 11, the weather has been deteriorating across the country. In particular, cloudy weather has settled in Athens since noon, and in the north of Attica it has rained and thunderstorms in places.

However, despite the cloudy weather, residents of the Greek capital have gone to the beach en masse in search of a few minutes of coolness, as despite the rainy scene, Athens is hot and humid. The temperature sometimes exceeds 29 degrees Celsius.

As can be seen from the following pictures of the agency Intimenews, the beaches of Flisvos and Glyfada did not go unnoticed by the townspeople.

Weather forecast for Monday (6.12)
According to EMY, tomorrow, Monday (12.06) on the mainland, periodic increased cloudiness is predicted with local rains and sporadic thunderstorms mainly during midday and afternoon hours, so phenomena in Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Central (Sterea) Greece and central and north- eastern Peloponnese.

Recession of phenomena is expected in the evening hours. In the rest of the country, the weather is generally clear with occasional cloudiness, at times with a lot of clouds in the Ionian Sea, where local rains will occur, as well as in Crete, where there will also be local rains during the day – afternoon. Visibility during the morning and evening hours in the western continental regions will be locally limited.

The wind will blow north-northwest with a force of 3-4 points, at sea in some places up to 5 points on the Beaufort scale. The temperature will not change significantly and will range from 26 to 29 degrees Celsius.
