French medics call for increased security measures after murder of nurse

After a minute of silence for the murdered nurse, French hospital staff demand security guarantees from the government.

Mesino’s nurse Karen worked at the Reims University Hospital. She was attacked by a mentally ill man and died from her injuries. Two small children were left without a mother. Her colleague Mezino was also injured and is being treated.

The killer has been arrested and is in custody. Explaining his act during interrogation, the man stated that for many years he was treated badly when he was treated in a psychiatric clinic. He said that every time he saw a white coat, he wanted to take revenge and admitted that the attack was deliberate.
