Ukrainian military are trained in Cyprus

In Cyprus, the training of the Ukrainian forces by the Irish military has started – basic training in the disposal of ammunition and demining.

How writes “EUROPEAN Pravda”, the Chief of Staff of the Defense Forces of Ireland, Lieutenant General Sean Clancy, announced the start of the classes. He noted that Irish troops were already in Cyprus. Ireland has committed to sending up to 30 troops to participate in the EOD and military medicine exercises.

Edition of the Irish Times informsthat in April it became known about the offer of training in demining as part of humanitarian assistance made by Cyprus. It was reported that a group of 18 Ukrainian officers would arrive on the island for training in the last week of April.
