Ukrtransnafta plans to increase tariffs for pumping Russian oil through its section of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
How recalls BB.LV, this is the second increase in transit costs since the beginning of 2023. For the first time, the Ukrainian pipeline operator raised it to €13.6 per ton, that is, by 18.3%. From June 1, the pumping rate will also increase significantly – up to €17 per ton, or by 25%.
And this will not last long – from August 1, the tariff for the transit of Russian oil will increase by another 23.5%, to 21 euros per ton.
How notes Forbes, Ukraine intends to double the tariff for the transit of Russian oil to Europe. But even after the rise in price, raw materials from Russia will remain more profitable for Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic than alternatives, experts believe.
