CUSTODY: Disability benefits increase by 8%

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announces increase in benefits GUARDIANSHIP.

In particular, an 8% increase in disability benefits provided by OPECA since May of this year was announced. The measure to increase disability benefits, according to the Prime Minister, concerns, in total, more than 200,000 beneficiaries who receive appropriate assistance from the state.

Benefits that will increase:

  1. General Disability Allowance for retirees of the former Regional State Administration who receive only a basic pension.
  2. Sickness and disability benefits for pensioners-civil servants.
  3. Extra-institutional benefit e-EFKA (Εξωιδρυματικό επίδομα).

CUSTODY:

  • Movement allowance (Επίδομα κίνησης), from EUR 165 to EUR 178.2.
  • Nutrition allowance for patients with kidney problems, as well as recipients with transplanted hearts and livers ήπατος), from 362 euros to 390.96 euros.
  • Support for people with severe disabilities, from 313 euros to 338 euros.
  • Support for people with severe mental retardation, from 527 euros to 569.16 euros.
  • Assistance to the paraplegic (paraplegics and amputees), uninsured and insured by the state (from 771 euros to 832.68 euros).
  • Support for people with congenital hemophilia (from 362 euros to 390.96 euros) and with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome AIDS (from 697 euros to 752.76 euros).
  • Support for the deaf and hard of hearing (from 362 € to 390.96 €).
  • Support for the visually impaired (from 362-697 euros to 390.96-752.76 euros).
  • Help for people with cerebral palsy (from 697 euros to 752.76 euros).
  • Assistance to sick and recovered patients with leprosy, leprosy (Hansen’s disease) and their families (from 362–697 euros to 390.96–752.76 euros).
