Forbes magazine presented a list of cities where the richest live. Moscow has risen one level higher in it.
How informs BB.LV tops the list of cities NY, home to 101 billionaires. The total fortune of the most-most is 616.8 billion US dollars.
In second place Hong Kong (70 billionaires, total fortune – 286.8 billion), on the third – Beijing (68 people, total fortune – $ 247.2 billion).
Next on the list Shanghaithere are 65 billionaires, whose total fortune reaches 181.9 billion. And closes the top 5 cities with the largest number of billionaires London. There are 63 tycoons living in the UK capital with a total net worth of $294.9 billion.
As Forbes notes, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine and Western sanctions, Moscow from seventh place in the list has risen to sixth in terms of the number of billionaires living in the capital of the Russian Federation, and also ranks third in terms of their combined wealth.
The magazine estimated the total fortune of 61 Moscow billionaires at $307 billion, which is $92 billion more than in 2022. Moscow is second only to New York, where the combined wealth of billionaires is almost $617 billion, and Paris ($409 billion).
