Wild school bullying in the northern suburbs of the Greek capital

Another case of bullying in a Greek school: a 15-year-old teenager was tied with a fishing line by the neck to a chair and mocked him for an hour.

In the group of six bullers-classmates of the guy there was also a girl. The wild incident took place in a private school in the northern suburbs of Athens on Friday morning. After prolonged bullying, the participants in the bullying left the school, leaving the teenager tied up.

The incident came to light through a complaint filed with the Department for the Protection of Minors. As a result, the police arrested four teenagers, two managed to avoid detention, but they appear in the case initiated on this occasion. All those arrested have already been released by order of the prosecutor, and the victim was examined by a forensic expert, who found abrasions consistent with binding with a fishing line.

Sources newsbeast.gr claimthat this is not the first incident of bullying, the victim of which is an injured student. However, the school community is upset, as this is an educational institution with a long history and a very “good name”.

In the ad ΕΛ.ΑΣ. says:

“In the afternoon and evening of April 1, four 15-year-old citizens were detained by the police of the Sub-Department for the Protection of Minors of the Security Directorate of Attica. They are accused of collective and repeated insult, infliction of dangerous bodily harm, illegal violence in collusion. A criminal case has been initiated against two more 15-year-old citizens who have not yet been found. All of the above are accused of committing criminal acts against their peer in the morning hours of March 31, 2023 in a private school complex in Attica during the school program. The case will be referred to the competent prosecutor’s office.”
