V.Zelensky “thrown down the gauntlet” to China, as President Xi Jinping said that the United States has no right to make demands to his country, after the US Secretary of State warned his Chinese counterpart do not supply weapons to Russia for the war in Ukraine.
“It is important for us that China does not support the Russian Federation in this war., Zelensky said in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt. – In fact, I would like China to be on our side. However, at the moment I do not believe that this is possible.
“But I think it’s an opportunity for China to be realistic about what’s going on here, – added the Ukrainian president. – Because if China allies with Russia, there will be a world war, and I think China knows that.”
As for Moldova, Zelensky told Die Welt that Ukraine had given President Maia Sandu information that Russia was planning a coup in the country. “Maia Sandu never asked me for help, but she thanked me for the information. She knows our situation very well. Ukraine will always be ready to help Moldova,” he added.
The Kremlin said today that Russia’s relations with Moldova are very tense and accused Moldovan leaders of anti-Russian policies, a week after Chisinau announced that it had thwarted a Russian coup attempt.
