A daring robbery of a gold shop took place on Monday 20/02 at 5:30 am in Egaleo.

It seems that the method of hacking shops using a car ram is gaining popularity in Athens, write “Athenian News”. This is one of the “new methods” adopted by the Athenian robbers, which the police have come across frequently in recent times.

According to the Greek TV channel ERT, unknown people entered the store, breaking the window with a stolen car (!). The criminals managed to take all the jewelry and money that were in the jewelry store at that moment, writes iefimerida.gr.

The store owner speaks of “the complete destruction of his business.” The man pointed out that the robbers literally devastated the entire store. At the same time, he emphasized that this was not the first case of a robbery of his jewelry store, since this had happened before. “It’s a crash! I have suffered irreparable damage,” a jewelry store owner told ERT in desperation, noting that the windows (and doors) were armored. The store also had special windows, protective shutters and a tracking system with CCTV cameras. As you can see, it didn’t help either…

Recall that in recent years in Greece, incidents of robbery of large stores, carried out according to the same scenario, have been increasingly recorded. The car rams the shop window and protective blinds of the outlet, after which the robbers enter the premises and sweep away everything that comes to hand. Then they disappear without a trace.
