Solar water heater: voucher applications up to 1000 euros

Through the allazothermosifona.gov.gr platform, applications will be submitted for a subsidy for the purchase of a solar water heater.

Babis Kaukis, General Counsel of the Panhellenic Taxpayers Federation, spoke about when to apply for solar water heaters and how the program would “work”. “The money is small, but it’s all a plus for our country and economy, for energy and for citizens in the end,” Mr. Kaukis said.

Regarding when the action will start, he stressed that “applications will start next month, and the subsidy for the purchase of a solar water heater will be 60%. Depending on the income, a voucher (ss coupon) will be provided.”

According to Mr. Kaukis, the program reaches 100 million euros and reaches 1,000 euros. In addition to the financial benefit for the beneficiaries, it is important that the program also offers energy savings.

And as the General Counsel of the Panhellenic Taxpayers Federation told ERT, “There are still many households that have electric water heaters. The solar battery system can be installed both in the main housing and in the dacha (summer residence).”
