An incident of domestic violence was recorded in Volos. After a fierce fight, a woman injured her husband and son with scissors in the back and abdomen.
The housewife was arrested “red-handed” (αυτόφωρο) and taken to the prosecutor’s office, where she asked for time to prepare a statement and was released. Her trial will take place on Friday 27 January.
It all happened early in the morning on Wednesday, January 25, in a house where a family with three children lives, according to magnesianews.gr. A 42-year-old man started a quarrel with his 40-year-old wife. The 21-year-old son intervened in the episode, who sided with his father, and the mother, in a rage, grabbed scissors and slightly injured her son’s back and husband’s stomach with them.
Father and son went to the hospital, but there they were not even given a medical certificate. Then they contacted the police, as a result of which the woman was arrested. She was taken to the prosecutor’s office and charged with minor bodily harm. The case was referred to the Volosskiy Criminal Court.
According to the information, her husband said he did not want her to be prosecuted, unlike his son, who, on the contrary, insists on it. Eventually a reprieve was granted and the trial was set for Friday. The parties will make efforts to restore relations in the family.
