$5 million or prison – Mike Tyson sued again for rape

The rape of 30 years ago became the reason for a lawsuit against 56-year-old Mike Tyson – the victim chose to remain anonymous.

The woman accused the ex-champ of sexual assault in the early 1990s in Tyson’s limousine, informs Associated Press. After meeting in a nightclub in Albany, New York, the couple got into a boxer’s limousine, where the defendant immediately began to molest her, the lady said under oath. The plaintiff alleges that, despite resistance, she was raped:

“I told him ‘no’ several times and asked him to stop, but he kept lashing out at me. He then pulled down my pants and brutally raped me.”

She is seeking $5 million in damages from Tyson for “physical, psychological and emotional injuries” and wants to remain anonymous because publishing her name would expose her to “the risk of further moral harm, harassment, ridicule or personal embarrassment.”

Darren Sailbuck, the victim’s attorney, says his office not only took the client at her word, but investigated her claims and determined they were “extremely credible.”

It is worth noting that the crime that the former boxer is accused of occurred around the same time that beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington accused him of a similar action, in February 1992. On this charge, the boxer has already served three years in prison.

It is not uncommon in the United States for women to accuse famous people of violence that took place many years ago. In 2020, for example, former Joe Biden aide Tara Reid accused her ex-employer of rape that occurred before 2009.
