Domestic violence led to the hospitalization of a 4-month-old baby

A four-month-old patient from Messinia is in critical condition in the Athens hospital “Agia Sophia”. After the discovery of traces of violence on his body, the father of the child is arrested.

On Saturday afternoon, the parents brought the baby from their village in the municipality of Trifilia, where they live, to Kyparissia Hospital, as the baby was suffering from convulsions. At night, he was transferred to the Kalamata hospital, where the doctors, due to his serious condition and the need for urgent intubation, sent the baby to the Athens hospital. Finding bruises and shaking syndrome during examination, the doctors notified the police about this.
