Rampant crime in the Greek capital: knife attacks tonight

Today at dawn there were two attacks by criminals armed with a knife: in Kifisia and in the central square of Athens Omonia.

The aim of the attackers was money. Coincidentally or not, two young men of Bangladeshi origin, both 25 years old, became victims of the criminals.

One incident took place on Platanu Square in Kifisia. The armed robbers demanded money from the kiosk worker, and when he refused, they stabbed without hesitation. After taking the money, they fled. Alerted police were able to detain two of the four attackers. The victim is in the hospital.

The second incident took place in the center of Athens. At 03:30 am, police said two men attacked a man on the street adjacent to Omonia Square with a knife and took an unknown amount of money from him.
