Earthquakes with a difference of about 20-25 minutes followed one another this morning in Pargos – 3.5 and 3.4 on the Richter scale.
Seismic vibrations were felt in Pyrgos at 09:05 and 09:25, they were felt in other areas of Ilia. The Geodynamic Institute of the Athens National Observatory estimated the magnitude of the first earthquake at 3.5 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was 26 km south/southwest of Pyrgos, in the maritime zone.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center estimated the magnitude of the shock at 3.4 on the Richter scale, and the epicenter, according to them, was located 25 km south/southwest of Pyrgos.
Approximately 20 minutes later, the seismic disturbance was repeated. An automatic solution from the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens National Observatory recorded a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was also in the sea, 18 km south/southwest of Pyrgos, the Athens News Agency reported.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the magnitude of the second shock was 3.4 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was 27 km south/southwest of Pyrgos.
