A 37-year-old Bangladeshi citizen who fatally stabbed his 36-year-old compatriot on Sunday in Kypseli is being sent to prison after giving evidence to a prosecutor.
The victim was still alive when the police and paramedics arrived at the crime scene on a signal from neighbors. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her wounds. According to mass media, she had very serious stab wounds in the abdomen, as well as cuts on her hands and face.
The defendant is charged with premeditated murder in a calm state and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. He pleaded guilty without a lawyer to a cruel crime, which he explained by a financial dispute with the victim, who allegedly owed him 20,000 euros.

He also admitted that he bought the knife in the center of Athens.
This is the fourth murder of a woman in Greece in August.
