The Vienna Mozart Orchestra performs for the first time at the ancient Herodio Theater with works by Mozart and Viennese waltzes.

Take a musical journey to Vienna: the orchestra will present their performances in original costumes from the era in which the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived and worked. The famous Viennese Mozart Orchestra is coming to Athens Herodio for the first time! Experience the magic of music under the Acropolis with the original Vienna Mozart Orchestra!
The virtuoso musicians of the orchestra take the Athenian public on a journey to 18th century Vienna, playing some of the most famous and beloved works of Mozart and Strauss. The orchestra is also famous for its costumes, as its musicians are dressed in authentic period costumes and wigs. The orchestra will also be joined by the sopranos of the Vienna Opera in famous and beloved arias to give us wonderful moments and take us on a journey through the magical atmosphere of Vienna.
The Vienna Mozart Orchestra is one of the most significant musical groups in Austria. Its peculiarity lies both in its musical quality, with some of the best musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and in the atmosphere created by period costumes and wigs, combined with the artistic enthusiasm and virtuosity of the musicians.
Concerts of the Vienna Mozart Orchestra take place in the largest and most famous concert halls in Vienna, namely the Golden Hall of the Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Great Hall of the Hofburg (Imperial Palace).
The orchestra’s fifty virtuoso musicians will begin their musical journey by transporting the Athenian audience to 18th-century Vienna, performing some of Mozart’s most famous and beloved works in authentic costumes and wigs of the time.
Mozart is replaced by the famous waltzes and polkas of the Strauss family, taking us away in a romantic and dreamy whirlwind. The beautiful Blue Danube, the Imperial Waltz, the introduction of the operetta “Die Fledermaus”, the famous Radetzky march – these are just a few masterpieces that will be performed by the masters of the Viennese musical genre…
