A further increase in prices for building materials in May this year was 11.4%, as there was an increase in prices for all sub-categories of materials, with “leading” electricity and diesel fuel.
In particular, the prices have gone up:
- electricity (80.1%),
- POL diesel (37.6%),
- brick (21.7%),
- fittings (18.6%),
- copper cables (18.4%),
- plastic pipes (14.4%),
- parquet (12.5%),
- construction timber (11.2%),
- glass (9.7%),
- built-in furniture (9.6%),
- foam cement (9.3%),
- concrete (9.2%),
- wooden window frames (9.2%),
- interior doors (9.1%),
- aluminum frames (8.9%),
- copper pipes (8.3%),
- radiators (7.6%),
- plastic, acrylic (7%),
- marble tiles (6.8%),
- tiles in general – floor, wall (6.2%).
According to ΕΛΣΤΑΤ, the overall price index for building materials in new residential buildings in May 2022 increased by 11.4% compared to the corresponding index in May 2021. At the same time, it showed an increase of 1.1% in May 2022 compared to April 2022.
