Weather for Sunday: in the west, in the center and in the south of the country, rain and thunderstorms

On Sunday, May 8, a small cloud cover and very unstable weather are expected throughout the country.

During the day, cloudiness in the western, central and southern mainland and insular parts of the country will thicken, in some places showers or rains, as well as individual thunderstorms. Atmospheric circulation will contribute to the transport of dust to Greece, especially to the Cyclades and Crete.

The air temperature is at the normal level for the season, according to the meteorological service of the National Observatory of Athens, and will fluctuate in Western Macedonia from +3°С to +20°С, in the rest of Northern Greece from +5°С to +24°С, in Epirus from +8°С to +28°С. In Thessaly from +7°С to +26°С, in the rest of mainland Greece from +9°С to +27°С, in the Ionian Islands from +11°С to +26°С, insular part of the Aegean Sea and Crete from +10°С to +24°С.

The wind in the Aegean Sea is northern, with a force of 4-6 on the Beaufort scale, and in the Ionian Sea it is variable, with a force of 3-5 on the Beaufort scale.

In Attica Partly cloudy is expected, which will worsen during the day. Local showers or intermittent rains are possible. The concentration of dust in the atmosphere will increase slightly.

Wind north/northeast, force 3-4 on the Beaufort scale, in some places in the east 5 on the Beaufort scale. The air temperature will fluctuate from +13°С to +25°С.

In Thessaloniki some cloudiness is also expected. The wind is variable. The air temperature will fluctuate from +11°С to +21°С.
