Bicycle path will appear on Iera Odos

The Green Foundation of Greece has approved funding for a study to create a cycle path along the entire Iera Odos route to Daphni Monastery.

Funding for the urban infrastructure improvement project has been approved by the Green Fund. This is a project of local importance in the municipality of Haidari. The creation of a cycling route from one end of the city to the other is in line with the main objectives of the Sustainable Urban Development Plan and is currently under preparation.

At the same time, the municipality of Haidari upgraded the bus shelters with new standard frames (with a roof and a bench) to improve the comfort of passengers waiting for the vehicle.

As we were informed by the municipality, the newly established bus stops will be maintained without any financial cost from the municipality. On the contrary, he will receive additional income from the rental of advertising space. However, the municipality is also expected to update the sidewalks, which, as you can see in the photo, are in a terrible state.
