A 17-year-old boy stabbed his stepfather at least ten times because the 36-year-old man insulted the boy’s mother. The incident took place in the Pilea suburb of Thessaloniki in northern Greece on Saturday evening.
The stepfather once again beat his wife, and this infuriated the stepson, his grandfather told the media. The incident took place at 11 pm on Saturday, the Police Emergency Service received a statement about a family incident.

“He couldn’t bear the fact that his mother was being beaten. It happened yesterday too. The young man returned home, saw that she was once again abused by her husband, and his mind was clouded,” the grandfather said, adding that “the grandson used a small knife that he found in the kitchen.”
Grandfather recalled that disagreements often arose between his daughter, son-in-law and child. On Sunday, some media outlets reported that the stepfather had also been arrested in the hospital on charges of domestic violence.
