A maternity hospital in Mariupol destroyed by an airstrike is ready to be rebuilt by Greece, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.
The press service of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, writes Deutsche Welleposted a message on the social network Facebook:
“Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that Greece is ready to restore the maternity hospital in Mariupol destroyed by the Russian army.”
On the readiness to restore the destroyed maternity ward of hospital No. 3 in Mariupol, as reported by “New Newspaper”, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a tweet. His post says:
“Greece is ready to restore the maternity hospital in Mariupol, the center of the Greek minority in Ukraine, a city dear to our hearts <…>.”
Hospital No. 3 of Mariupol turned out to be destroyed March 9 as a result of a projectile hit. Mariupol City Hall reported three dead and 17 wounded. The AP later reported that died one of the affected pregnant women, her unborn child also did not survive. Another victim of the explosions of the children’s hospital and maternity hospital in Mariupol, Mariana Vyshegirskaya (Podgurskaya) gave birth to a daughter.
