Explosives, drugs and weapons were found during the arrest of criminals in Patras.
On Friday, March 4, 4 people were arrested in Patras for the manufacture and possession of explosives, drugs, weapons and flares. In the same case, another local resident is wanted for violating the law on weapons. During searches carried out by the Patras police, the following were found and seized in the homes of five people:
Explosives:
956 grams of explosive, presumably C 4 (military type), 222 grams of TNT (combat type), 334 grams of dynamite, 8 standard detonators and 2 electronic ones, two signal (light-noise) rockets, etc.
Weapon:
1 pistol and two silencers, 30 rounds of 9 mm and 128 of various calibers, nunchaku, folding knife with a blade of 19 cm long, a replica of the pistol.
Drugs and more:
2590 grams of cannabis, 86.7 grams of cocaine divided into 30 packages, accurate scales, three mobile phones.
It is noted that one of the attackers, in order to avoid verification and arrest, threw a package containing 1086 grams of marijuana out of the house onto a neighboring land plot.
The confiscation of explosives was carried out with the assistance of munitions disposal team sappers. Those arrested will be taken to the Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Patras. An investigation is currently ongoing to determine whether those arrested are involved (or were only planning) to carry out illegal activities using the confiscated weapons arsenal.
