Angry speech of believers in Thessaloniki in support of the suspended priest Father Gabriel.
A huge number of believers gathered in Nea Eucarpia (Νέα Ευκαρπία) in Thessaloniki, near the church of St. Irene Chrysovalantou, protesting against the dismissal of the priest Gabriel Sidiropoulos. He was removed and even deprived of his spiritual dignity by Metropolitan Barnabas of Naples and Stavropol.
According to a source in the diocese, the reason for the removal of the priest was disobedience to the order of the Metropolitan, related to the implementation of existing measures against the coronavirus.
“Bring back our dad!” the crowd chanted in protest against the decision and in support of the priest.
