Carnival: to be or not to be. And also about suspended doctors, entry into Greece and third doses of vaccinations

On Thursday, a committee of experts will decide on the possibility of holding carnivals and related events. This was announced by Thanos Pleuris, Minister of Health of Greece.

He assured that the government wants to return to normal life as soon as possible, although mass events are a cause for concern.

The minister also reminded that from today the certificates of those citizens who have not yet received the third dose of the vaccine will be cancelled. Now about 300,000 people who have received only two vaccinations have been given equal rights with those who have not been vaccinated. They will have to pass mandatory rapid tests to visit the workplace and will not be able to enter the closed premises of entertainment establishments.

Thanos Plevris recalled that holders of valid European vaccination certificates will be able to come to Greece without a mandatory test earlier, but only if they come from member countries of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement, or from 33 states that are not members of EUbut joined the digital certification system.

Regarding medical workers and their suspension, the minister explained that a discussion is scheduled for March 31 whether the suspension will be extended or if those who are not vaccinated should stay out of ΕΣΎ. The Minister of Health also stressed the need to create public-private partnerships in the health sector.
