OAED: Applications for 7,000 new jobs open

On January 31, applications begin for 7,000 subsidized new jobs for the unemployed aged 30 and over in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, Western Greece, Epirus, Thessaly and Central Macedonia.

On Monday, January 31, at 13:00 e-applications for the third cycle of the 7,000 new jobs program for unemployed people aged 30 and over in the underdeveloped regions of the country of East Macedonia and Thrace, Western Greece, with a focus on the long-term unemployed and unemployed in age 50 and over.

The program is aimed at private companies, the duration of the grant is 12 months, and the monthly wage subsidy and insurance premiums for hiring the unemployed for new full-time positions are:

€473 per month (€5,676 per year) for unemployed people under 49. €568 per month (€6,816 per year) for unemployed people aged 50 and over. EUR 615 per month (EUR 7,380 per year) for the long-term unemployed EUR 710 per month (EUR 8,520 per year) for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over. The total budget of the program is 44 million euros.

The aim of the action is to promote employment, especially among the long-term unemployed and the older unemployed, whose long-term unemployment makes it difficult for them to re-enter the labor market. The total budget of the program is 44,000,000 euros and is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the OP. “Human Resource Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020”.

It is noted that after the end of the program, enterprises have no employment obligations, as well as simplified and faster integration and repayment procedures. The subsidy for paid and unpaid expenses also includes eligible Christmas and Easter gifts and vacation pay.
