The first criminal prosecution for a series of criminal acts in the case of issuing false vaccination certificates or past illness was carried out by the competent Greek prosecutor’s office.
This is the case of fake vaccination certificates from a polyclinic in Palamas (Karditsa). A total of 48 people are involved in the fraudulent scheme. The prosecutor’s office brought citizens to justice for committing a “grave crime” and “misconduct” after the completion of the preliminary investigation.
The core of the “organization” consisted of a group of 4 to 5 people who are accused of creating a criminal organization, money laundering and bribery (this is what concerns the “serious crime”). Those accused of committing a “misdemeanor” were involved in aiding in taking bribes, creating (discharging) and issuing false certificates and certificates of a past illness.
The case was referred to a full-time investigator at the Karditsa Court of First Instance. The accused will soon be summoned to testify, as the case may be, for the crimes they are charged with.
The “factory” of fake coronavirus vaccination certificates was uncovered when authorities learned that there is a 44-year-old administrative worker at the Palamas clinic in Karditsa m to citizens who refused vaccination.
Investigations into the issuance and use of fake vaccination certificates or previous illness are ongoing in other cities in Greece. Active actions are carried out in all directions, on the basis of the relevant order issued by the prosecutor of the Supreme Court Vasilis Pliotas, who immediately after the disclosure of the case in the Karditsa hospital intervened in order to protect the health of citizens.
