Robbery: steal 10,000 euros in 90 seconds

In just 90 seconds, two insolent robbers stole 10,000 euros in cash and valuable items (phones and laptop) from the office of a pastry shop located on Agias Lavras Street in Kato Patisia.

Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the incident. The police got at their disposal a video recording from a video camera installed in the store, which shows how certain persons, supposedly buyers, wearing masks, enter the trading floor.

One of them immediately heads to the stairs leading to the top floor, where the bakery office is located, and the other walks through the store downstairs, pretending to choose a cake.

One of the two robbers, who most likely visited the bakery more than once and knew the location very well, opened the office door and in 90 seconds “got their hands on” 10,000 euros in cash and valuables. Then the attackers, as if nothing had happened, left the bakery, walking leisurely along the street so as not to arouse suspicion, and disappeared into the alley.

A few months ago, other criminals broke into the store and robbed an employee by robbing the cash register. Authorities believe the two robbers were involved in similar crimes in the past.
