The new rules for visiting outlets apply from this Saturday, November 13, and apply to supermarkets, bakeries, mini-markets and butcher’s (fish) shops.
The measures, which have already begun, do not significantly change the visits to the aforementioned stores, with the exception of limiting the number of people who can be in the trading floor at the same time.
Shopping in supermarkets, bakeries, convenience stores, butchers and fish stores can be done without the need to present a rapid test or vaccination certificate.
In particular, there is no change with regard to the vaccinated and unvaccinated who may enter, as everyone can receive basic necessities using a mask and keeping a distance.
As in supermarkets, the number of customers that can be inside stores at the same time varies (for example, supermarkets, convenience stores, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, pastry shops, wineries), a maximum capacity of one person per nine square meters is allowed.
In practice, this means that consumers will again see “queues” at store doors.
What about hairdressing and professional stores
According to the General Secretariat for Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development and Investment, all commercial enterprises are prohibited from selling hairdressing products (for professional use) to those who do not have a license for the relevant activity.
The sale of hairdressing products (professional use) is permitted provided the required invoice is issued and a professional ID is presented at the same time.
As for the scope of body and face care services (manicure, pedicure, massage, hair removal, etc.), clients of beauty salons must still present a certificate of vaccination or a certificate of a past illness, or the result of a diagnostic test for coronavirus (PCR or rapid test, PCR ή rapid test).
Minors between 4 and 17 years of age may present a negative self-test.
Especially for services in manicure, pedicure, foot care and nail extension, it is envisaged to install a plexiglass partition separating the master and the client.
