Vaccination of children in Italy, Costa Rica and Moscow

Before Christmas, Italy plans to start vaccinating children aged 5 to 11, in Costa Rica, vaccination of children against coronavirus has already entered the list of mandatory ones, and a 12-month study is underway in Moscow.

The Italian Ministry of Health believes that the 5-11 age group is critical to alleviating the burden of the pandemic. More than 3,200,000 children will receive the vaccine immediately after approval by the European Medicines Agency, local media reported, citing competent authorities. Franco Locatelli, the scientific group coordinator advising the government of Mario Draghi, states:

“I believe that the relevant approval of the European Medicines Agency will be issued at the end of November or, at the latest, by mid-December. We can start right after that too. “

And here Costa Rica became the first in the world by a country that introduced compulsory coronavirus vaccination for children 5-11 years old. A message about this is located on the website of the Ministry of Health:

In accordance with the principle of the best interests of children and adolescents <...> the National Commission on Vaccination and Epidemiology has ruled that vaccination against coronavirus becomes compulsory for all minors.
