In Halandri, the balcony of a residential building collapsed, as a result of which all residents of the high-rise building had to be evacuated.

As it became known, the balcony of a multi-storey building in Halandri, located at 27 Cortesi Street, collapsed, presumably due to erosion. However, also the cyclone “Ballos”, which brought the showers, played an important role in this.

The balcony collapsed at 6.45 am on Friday morning, October 15th. According to the information, no one was injured.

According to the thetoc, according to the fire department officer who was called to the scene, “the balcony collapsed due to corrosion of building materials and heavy rain.”

The fire brigade assisted in the evacuation of the residents of the apartment building. However, no casualties were reported.
