At the Main Children’s Hospital of Athens “Panayiotis and Aglaya Kyriakou” there is a 14-year-old boy who received an injury to his right hand during an active holiday at sea – kitesurfing in the sea area of Vouliagmeni.
According to the Saronic Port Authority, the teenager rented a kiteboard * (kitesurfing or kiteboarding comes from the English.kite – kite and board – board, boarding – boarding) or kiting – a sport, the basis of which is movement under the influence of the traction force developed by the held and a kite (kite) controlled by an athlete.
It is noted that the teenager rented a kiteboard with the written consent of his parents.
The administration arrested a legal representative of a water sports equipment rental company, as well as an employee of the company, in violation of article 242 of the Criminal Code.
The administrative violation was confirmed by the corresponding report of the port authorities.
