Starting today, young people between the ages of 18 and 24 will be able to log into the freedompass.gov.gr platform and apply for financial support of € 150.
The main condition is to receive the first dose of vaccination or single vaccination – Johnson & Johnson. As the Minister of Digital Government Kyriakos Pierrakakis emphasized, “we trust young people and we know, looking at the statistics, that those who choose the first dose will certainly do the second, that is. will complete the vaccination process. ” He explained that the process of getting the amount is simple. Those who are interested in creating their own application will enter the corresponding platform with the codes of the TAXIS network, and in case someone does not have the codes, they will have to contact KEP. There it will be possible to receive all relevant instructions by e-mail and SMS, since the bank will contact the citizen directly within two to three days and provide him with a prepaid debit card, which will be stored digitally in the “mobile wallet”.
Where freedompass will be used
As noted by Mr. Pierrakakis, the amount is allocated to certain categories of expenditures such as tourism and culture, that is, it will be used for purchases through e-commerce, e-shops, as well as in all POS transactions, while it will be targeted and refer to specific activities such as air, ferry, car rental, accommodation, camping, travel agencies, museums, cinema, theater, music performances, etc.
According to the minister, the number of young people aged 18-24 who made an appointment at the Vaccination Center after the announcement of the introduction of a “special incentive” has doubled and now reaches 125,000.
