When will the restrictions finally be lifted?

Citizens of the country can now feel relief as the pace of vaccinations and summer weather can lift some of the restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

After the opening of the catering sector, which took place on Monday 3 May, it was the turn of the schools. And tourism starts on Saturday 15 May, simultaneously with the lifting of restrictions on movement between municipalities.

Under the current mitigation plan to reduce the pandemic and assuming everything goes smoothly, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will reopen from Monday 10 May. It was noted that the functioning of institutions will be subject to mandatory self-testing.

Question: “When will the mandatory SMS distribution be canceled?”
Answer: “Saturday 15 May, together with the opening of tourism and organized beaches.”

As noted, tourists must present either a certificate of vaccination or a negative 72-hour PCR test. With the opening of tourism, according to the news agency APE-MPE, it is expected that inter-peripheral movement (υπερτοπικές μετακινήσεις) for all citizens of the country will be free. At the same time, the obligation to send SMS to leave home and travel will be completely abolished.

Until that time, all trips are still made by sending an SMS to 13033, even to visit a cafe or restaurant, citizens must send a message with code 6, while there is a time limit of 3 hours.

Curfew
It is noted that on Easter Monday, May 3, the curfew begins at 11:00 pm and ends at 5:00 am.
