Anxiety reigned today at the Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Athens after reporting a technical problem with a plane flying from Atlanta.
Before landing, the crew of the Delta aircraft discovered a problem with the brakes, which they immediately reported to the dispatcher at the Athens airport. Ambulances and fire services rushed to the site of the alleged landing, MEGA said.
The liner flew from Atlanta on a flight to Athens, with 248 people on board. As follows from the message to the control room, the cause of the general alarm was the overheating of the braking system.
Emergency services did not have to intervene – the plane made a safe landing at Eleftherios Venizelos airport, ERT reports.
