Consul General of Greece denied information about innovations in obtaining visas by Russians

Nikolaos Krikos, Consul General of Greece in Moscow, called the information of the Russian media about the change in obtaining a Schengen visa by Russian citizens as incorrect. In particular, the need to provide for this direct flight tickets

In a commentary to RIA Novosti, Nikolaos Krikos stated:

“The Consulate General of Greece in Moscow did not instruct visa centers that they can accept applications from Russian citizens only if the latter have tickets for direct flights. Of course, the visa centers themselves did not ask our Russian friends for anything like that. The single Schengen visa issued by the Consulate General of Greece in Moscow for Russians traveling to our country is valid throughout the Schengen area, but due to strict restrictions on travel within the Schengen agreement it does not automatically give the right to enter another member state, therefore the applicant must be familiar with the current travel restrictions. “

According to information RIA News, which refers to the information lines of the Global Visa Center World (GVCW) visa centers, for a tourist visa you need: a completed visa application form, a passport, a hotel reservation and details, a photo, an airline ticket or a booking, a certificate from work, an ordinary passport, an insurance policy, consent for the processing of personal data.
