Impressive footage showed fighter planes and helicopters filling the skies of Athens on March 25, the anniversary of the 1821 Revolution, as a large military parade took place at Syntagma.
The President of the Republic of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, was present in the stands, surrounded by officials.
Squadrons of jet fighters pierced the sky like lightning. Various types of fighter and transport aircraft and helicopters “showed themselves in all their glory.” The legendary World War II aircraft, the Spitfire, also took to the skies. Video from the parade on Syntagma:
