Two boys, a 19-year-old Greek citizen and a 23-year-old foreigner, were arrested at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” by Greek police because they were trying to import drugs from Spain.
In the younger man’s house, during a search after his arrest, a total of 3 kilograms 212 grams of raw cannabis was found and confiscated, as well as cash in the amount of 10,204 euros, electronic scales and 2 mobile phones. In particular, his identity was established by employees of the Drug Enforcement Administration, whose attention was focused on preventing the import of narcotic substances from European countries by air. The Greek was arrested when he arrived by plane from Spain.
A second man was waiting for him at the airport to pick up his “cargo” and was also arrested. During the search, 0.6 grams of cannabis was found on the foreigner. The detainees were taken to the Athens criminal prosecutor’s office.
