The family squabble that took place on Saturday evening in Agia Varvara (Egaleo) ended tragically.
A 69-year-old father-in-law shot and killed his 57-year-old son-in-law with a hunting rifle after a fight that occurred for an as yet unknown reason. The tragedy happened in the house where they lived, on Filikis Eteria Street. According to Kathimerini, the victim was shot three times.
The killer’s son, a police officer living downstairs, heard the shots and called 911. His father was arrested. The man was taken to the Agia Varvara police station, where he is currently being interrogated to determine the motive for the murder.
